Volunteer to help us feed the homeless, provide them with haircuts, clothing, necessities, and entertainment. There will be performances, games, dance contests and cash giveaways.

Music is a universal language through its use, Hip Hop 4 Homeless brings awareness to the situation of homelessness in Oklahoma and assists in fulfilling the needs of the homeless. Since it’s inception, the community has been encouraged to participate by:
-Volunteering to assist with the event
-Donating clothing items and hygiene products
-Becoming an event Sponsor
-Giving monetary gifts

Each year this event helps hundreds of homeless adults, youths and families. In conjunction with Neighborhood Soul’gers (the event’s official non-profit oversight organization), Stop The Violence, the Homeless Alliance and thanks to the support of the Oklahoma community, the success of Hip Hop 4 Homeless will be ongoing and the lives of countless individuals affected by homelessness will be touched.

Roy Henderson (DJ MusicMan) has been serving the Oklahoma City community and surrounding areas for many years, as leader, an entertainer and person who cares for those less fortunate. In 2020 he sought to help the homeless by using his talents as a DJ and community leader to organize Hip Hop 4 Homeless. He continues to show up and be a beacon of hope for those experiencing homelessness.

Stop The Violence is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to bring awareness and resources to aid in the prevention of and intervention of violence. Stop The Violence supports all efforts working toward the education, prevention, and elimination of Violence and its emotional scars in children.

We realize that this is just one avenue toward a solution to the plight of our youth. We believe long-term plans, cooperating businesses, charitable organizations, community churches, state and local governing bodies working together with one goal in mind, which is our youth. We want to alter their paths of violence and show them the positive. We Care!

The Homeless Alliance works to rally our community to end homelessness by bringing together organizations to collaborate, identifying and filling gaps in services, streamlining processes, and using research-based strategies and national best practices to get people off the streets.  Since 2004, we have housed thousands of people in OKC, built a homeless resource campus where people can visit to get help from dozens of agencies, and launched three successful social enterprises offering supportive employment to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Because we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
